The field bus connectors with screw connection

An idea has caught on: the D-SUB connectors SUBCON can be connected quickly and conveniently under field conditions with-out soldering or crimping tools. The plug-in contacts are connected to clearly numbered screw terminal blocks. This produces a systematic overview of the wiring and simplifies every system start-up.

SUBCON: although the 9-position version is especially suited to INTERBUS, it can be used for other things as well. A multitude of further applications are opened up by the fact that all connections are assigned to one 1 mm2 screw terminal block each. The range comprises products with the usual numbers of positions: 9, 15 and 25 as pin or socket versions. The cable entry here is designed for one cable.

SUBCON-PLUS: if two cable entries are needed, as is the case with many RS 485 interfaces, there is SUBCON-PLUS. Here too the connections are led to screw terminal blocks - this time doubled - in other words for two cables. Only at the end of the bus does the second termination block remain free for the connection of termination resistors. The field bus connector can be obtained in the versions M1 and M2, each with a different pin assignment. Application examples can be found in the table opposite. There are further variants available on request for special bus systems.

The connectors, designed for the smallest dimensions, are shielded against EMC influences. An additional lettering area allows each connector to be labeled individually. Installing the connection block either in the upper or lower shell makes it possible to introduce the cable at an angle of 0° to 90° from the right or the left.
